Write The Vision

6  comments

It’s just plain beautiful how the bible is a manual for everything. If you follow its instructions, you will have the life that God wants for you.

Why do I say this? Because, today’s post is based on Habakkuk 2:2-3 “Then the LORD answered me and said: “Write the vision and make it plain on tablets, That he may run who reads it. For the vision is yet for an appointed time; But at the end it will speak, and it will not lie. Though it tarries, wait for it; Because it will surely come, it will not tarry.”

In October 2013, I took part in a blogging challenge for single ladies. I was as single as they come and needed something to do. One of the challenges was to write 5 most important things you want in a mate… here’s what I wrote;

1. He has to love and fear God
2. I must be attracted to him
3. He must be kind hearted and treat people well
4. He must be hardworking and responsible
5. He must be my friend in every sense of the word…

The whole post can be found here (yeah, I’ve been writing for a while!)

It wasn’t that I didn’t want all the other things that most women want e.g. handsome, rich, similar interests, well read, mature, spoils me, designer handbags and what not. I wanted all those things and more but these were my top ones and the ones that would be classed as deal breakers.

One of the things I am convinced of is that there are marriages going to take place this year; heaven has said so. But heaven partners with people who are prepared. Part of my preparation was writing down what I wanted in a husband. I wrote the vision and made it plain. And heaven honoured every single thing on that list.

I remember the day the Holy Spirit said I should check what I wrote down after I started dating my hubby. I literally fell on the floor crying and worshipping God because my future husband, now my hubby, ticked every single thing I had written down…
So, I encourage you to write the vision and make it plain…
